Navigation Block

Description

The Navigation Block is for creating menus, and customizing them. The most common menus are headers and footers, but you may need additional menus depending on your site and content.

How to Find the Menus

To find the options for your menus, including adding a Navigation Block, go to Appearance > Editor > Patterns.

You will then see a section called Template Parts, which contains your Header and Footer menus. You can open either menu, expand the List View, and edit your menu items located in each Foundry Navigation Block.

How to Configure Existing Menus

  1. Choose a menu to configure, such as your header menu or footer menu.
  2. Add the Navigation Block
  3. Click the “+” symbol to add a new navigation item
  4. Search for the page, post, or taxonomy that you want to add to the menu, and select it – this will add it to the menu

How to Add a New Menu

  1. Open an existing menu (header or footer)
  2. Click on the Navigation Block
  3. Click ‘Select Menu’ from the pop-up menu over the Navigation Block
  4. Choose ‘Create new menu’ from the options – note that WordPress doesn’t let you name the new menus, it just assigns numbers
